The comment of Justice Ujjal Bhuyan on the collegium acting under pressure from the government couldn't have been more timely than now. His remarks were sparked by the transfer of Justice Atul Shreedharan from the MP High Court to the Allahabad High Court after he passed an order which was not to the liking of the government. He says it amounts to intrusion of the executive in the working of the judiciary. More judges need to speak out if temples of justice are to remain neutral and unshakeable.
